Lines expressing the distance, direction and elevation change of each day’s travel are plotted from the same origin point and then virtually draped to create the final form. Material below the horizontal plane represents days with net elevation losses and material above the plane represents days with elevation gains. Digital models are realized out of ABS plastic in a 3D printer.
